Linocut is a bold, old-school printmaking technique that evolved from traditional woodcut (xylography). Instead of carving wood, we use linoleum: a softer, more flexible surface, ideal for engraving intricate designs. Once carved, ink is rolled onto the surface and transferred to paper under pressure, creating a striking mirror image of your artwork.

As lead artist and instructor, I’ll share both technical skills and personal insights into linocut, covering sketching, carving, inking, and printing—along with the stories behind my work. Whether you're new to linocut or looking to grow your practice, this workshop will guide you through designing, carving, and printing your own linocuts. All materials are included, and you'll explore how this bold medium can be a tool for personal expression.

All materials and tools will be waiting for you. Each participant receives one linoleum plate to carve. We’ll start with single-color prints (black), and then you can experiment with other colors if you’d like.

What’s included? All the materials we need, use of the tools, and a cup of coffee to wake you up.

We have a maximum of 10 participants per workshop to ensure a high-quality experience.

July 11 (Saturday) from 10:30 to 13:30

Price per participant: 450 dkk
